Reminds me of my Linux quests, BTW, when I used it as primary OS for a couple of years before switching to Mac OS X.
Although, in comparison, I enjoy the experience with the latter the most up till now, it also has (other) flaws for sure.
There's no such thing as a single silver bullet (unfortunately)... ;-)
